There is greatness amongst you! Shout out to Kadin and others!

So, I started a "pay it forward" post in January of this year in an effort to gather some equipment for players in our community who don't have the financial means to accomplish this on their own. I volunteer my time as a golf coach and work with a variety of junior golfers. Many of them come from middle-class families and some of them come from quite affluent families. However, we always have several kids for whom a bag and a set of clubs might as well be a leer jet.

Fast forward three and a half months and here we are. Honestly, I had a goal of being able to build a semi-complete bag and donate it to a kid who could really use it. Well, that was accomplished in a just a week or so. People started popping up left and right, sending all sorts of stuff ......grips...balls....bags....drivers...shoes...wedges...You name it! One of these philanthropists was a member many of you know, Kadin. He was more than generous in gathering a variety of items...That alone was quite impressive... but he didn't stop there...Long story short, I get a call from Kadin and he puts me in touch with another member who had an opportunity to really put this thing over the top. A couple new Odyssey putters....dozens of Titleist balls...Vokey wedges.....all donated...Honestly, UNBELIEVABLE!!!

What's even more is that I'm sitting there playing Golf Santa and these kids are thanking me....when the reality is, I haven't done anything...You all are the ones deserving of thanks.....I am humbled and amazed by the generosity shown by all of you who donated....I honestly can't thank you enough and while I know that you don't do things like this for public recognition, I think other members on this board need to know that there are amazing, generous, and humble people here on WRX...

So, to Kadin and all of the others who donated,

THANK YOU!!!~THANK YOU!!!!~THANK YOU!!!

Awesome stuff!

Think how easy it would be for GolfWRX and and all of us club ho'ing WRX'ers to get an event or even program going for golf equipment donations for school teams. That would be pretty damn cool if someone who had the time could head it and just start collecting bags and other gear for setting up some kids who either can't afford or just can't acquire the equipment.

Yeah, no kidding! This site has the resources to do some amazing things...It would be quite an undertaking, but if my experience is any indication, it could be quite successful!

That was very nice of you, what can I say?? I'm flattered. I can't take all the credit, my best friend Jack and good friend Jon are the real generous ones. They managed to get all that gear for me. I was able to throw a few items in there as well but those two guys did the bulk of the donating.

Generosity is something I learned from my father. He always said "that if I am able to help someone, even if I don't know them, that I should always do so! No exceptions and no prejudices I want you to always take care of your fellow man"

Well I figured this was one of those times where I could help out.

I am glad the items made their way to kids that needed the gear. It feels good to hear that I was able to put a smile on a kids face
