Las Vegas Trip In Mid-August

I'll be in Las Vegas in mid-August for a week. Right now I have early morning tee times at Wolf Creek and Paiute Wolf course. Do these sound like good choices for this time of year? If not, let me know the best choices. I'd like to keep each round under $150 if possible.

 

Also, any other recommendations for food, etc. are also appreciated since I've never been to Vegas.

just got back from vegas yesterday played 4 rounds in 3 days.

Paiute: Snow and Wolf $76 Played Snow for the first round then replay of $40 we played Wolf for the 2nd 18. Both are in great shape but 100* and 20+ mph winds will mess with your head. Carts and range balls included.

Boulder Creek was so-so, greens were not in the best shape. But we played it for $45 as a last minute deal.

Arroyo at Red Rock, everybody was forced to start at hole #8 they are redoing #3 creating a bunker in front of it. It's still payable but if we knew that we would have chosen another course. Lots of wet areas as they got sprinklers going and maintenance work on the course. But all in all despite the high temps and windy conditions it beats working.

As for food depends what part of town you are staying and food preference.

As for food, too many great restaurants out there but my list includes:

And if money is no object, eat at Bouchon over at Pallazzo. The finest meal I have ever eaten.

I'll also be in Vegas, next week actually, and I only have time for one round on Monday morning. I've been to Vegas plenty of times, but this will be the first time I'll actually have a chance to play a round of golf.

What would be the hands-down recommendation for the one course to play for under $150?

If you have a rental car, drive to Paiute. You won't be disappointed!
