Seeking Their Break

If you are a small company trying to make an entry in the OEM market do you focus your limited dollars on the Nationwide Tour, Champiosn Tour or LPGA? And why?

Nickent has had good success with the NW Tour, as has Adams with the Champions tour.

Some small niche companies (Feel and putter companies) have had limited success on the LPGA.

Heard a number of opinions of this topic at The PGA show and was curious as to others opinions.

of course they are, they want there products in the publics eye. theres no better way than to get it played on tour.

i would go with the nationwide tour and the women's futures tour. why? because it seems like once they hit big time, they're set on their ways. if you get them when they are young into their careers and support them through this time in their career, they're more than likely to stay with you once they hit the big show. cleveland is doing this and i've heard this is the big reason why they let the vast majority of their staff go (so they can focus back onto the nationwide tour)

The biggest break is if someone wins on Tour. Doesn't really matter too much on the other Tours because when the reach the "show" they are usually under contract.

 

Lots of stories of Putter Makers getting a win on Sunday and then getting the orders on Monday.
