On Vacation in OBX- experiences w Kilmarlic or Sea Scape?

I'm once again on vacation in the Outer Banks- Staying in Corolla. I'm playing Kilmarlic, Sea Scape, and Duck Woods.

 

Kilmarlic and Sea Scape are brand new to me, any members have any experiences with these courses?

Played Kilmarlic about a month ago. Decent track - much better than Nags head.

I played Kilmarlic a couple years ago, it was pretty nice. This year we did Currituck Club. Expensive, but almost worth it to not have to deal with traffic

really enjoyed kilmarlic a couple years ago as well. fun track. it certainly helped that i was playing especially well that day.

i went to the OBX around the same time of the year (july 4) and the course was in great shape. greens were very nice, and pretty speedy. it looked like people really cared for the course - all the ball marks were fixed, the bunkers raked. teed off at about 10, and finished in about 3 hrs as a twosome (got paired up with a local, who was a good guy). since i got done so quick, i immediately went back out for another 9. bought a ball mark as well.

of course, this was a couple years ago. if it's anything like it was then, i highly recommend!

no experience with sea scape, sorry.

I like Sea Scape generally - they converted a par 5 to a par 3 a few years back that makes the back 9 a little tricked up, but overall I've always enjoyed playing there even after the changes. Lots of doglegs so have a range finder or GPS to know distances.

I also like Kilmarlic. Great facility overall with some great holes. Bring your mosquito repellant.

You've made three good choices, I'd say. DWCC was my old home course, so I'm biased to there, but you'll get three completely different looks with the places you've chosen.

Played Kilmarlic today- wow,-- awesomet track! It was really in great shape and we had an enjoyable round. I found the course to be fairly difficult. You really had to be smart with your club selection and not just "pull driver" on every Par 4 and 5, espcially the Par 5 s.
I hit a lot of hybrids and 5 woods off the tee and it really made it difference. My partner was "that guy" when it came to using his driver and he paid for it, losing ALOT of balls.

Overall, we had a great experience, staff were very friendly and helpful, and the course was fantastic! great round....

Forgot to add that one thing that saved my round was having my Garmin GPS. So many hazards, water, etc, that it knowing theses distances was so helpful. Would definitely play it again next year
