Scotty JAT Prototype - is this face balanced?

Wonder if this model is Face Balanced... cannot find it on scotty cameron web site? What year is this from?

 

My stroke is straight back and straight thru... Many thanks for any feedback.

Nope, that baby is toe down - 6 o'clock.

If you want to know if a putter is face balanced just balance it on your index finger, index finger under the shaft. The face of a face balanced putter will point to the sky. Anything else has one degree or another of toe hang. That JAT has extreme toe hang, not good for a straight back straight through strone. Want to sell it cheap. I really would if I were you it'll mess you up.

That putter is the anti face balanced. The complete opposite of face balanced.

i think in the cameron line of putters the ones that would be face balanced with a similar appearance would be the SD #5 and SD #6 Prototype.... The year i am not sure of, the #6 is a slick stick http://www.scottycameron.com/images/authen...rs/A006925b.JPG

 

*EDIT* I just looked at mine and that is about as close to face balanced as you are gonna get to my knowledge.

Thanks... Studio Design 6 Proto is face balanced, but SD 5 is apparently 1/4 toe flow.

The Studio Design 5 gets its pedigree straight from the greens of the PGA Tour. It was first introduced on Tour in 2002 as the JAT 2 Mid Bend. The model 5 is a “convertible” mallet design with a rounded, slight radiused back flange and a T sightline going the length of the topline and down the middle of the flange. Scotty calls it a convertible because it has the characteristics of a mallet design except with a more concave flange. The Mid-Bend shaft goes directly into the head giving the putter 1⁄4 toe hang like a Newport or Newport 2 model. This new putter comes with the maintenance free Black Pearl finish that’s as striking as they come, and putts every bit as good as it looks.

That is correct it has quarter flow on the SD 5, one correction to the cameron site the Black Pearl Mist is not "maintenace free" to keep it lookin good it takes some concious effort to keep it looking beautiful. Keep in mind you can't abuse this finish anymore and expect to send in the putter and have restored to full original, BPM has went the way of the dinosaur.
