Trying to get more publicity to see if maybe there are still guys who hadn't seen this thread in the Florida section. I'm VERY VERY surprised we only have 5 guys signed up right now with the amount of WRX'ers we have in Florida. I am not looking into group rates since we only have 5 but I'd love to get 5-7 more so we can at least do 3 foursomes. Even if we do two that would be cool. I am going to start calling when we have close to 6-7 so we can inquire about group rates, otherwise we're just going to have to book two foursomes or two threesomes with what we got now. We're a go for Saturday 11/2...are you okay with that Gary? RedTail golf course around 11-12pm. LMK the date is ok to make the teetime. Around 35-40/player. Course is amazing.

I can make that work. I will have to look up the coarse, have never played it. Should be fun.

Red tail is a wacky course. I haven't played out there in about 6 months. At that time it wasn't in the best shape.

I also have josh (jdhallissey) checking into Grand vista/grand pines as he's a marriott timeshare owner, he might be able to get us in there for cheap. Plan for saturday around 10-12 no matter what.

11/2 date is just a no go for me :-(, but I played Red Tail for the first time in the last few weeks. Very respectable condition. Great greens. Not going to blow you away with amazingness as far as condition, but a great course IYAM. There were a handful of tee boxes that we're like "really?"

Wish the course had GPS, more pictures on card etc or something, found myself playing a lot of defense bunting hyrbids off tees to the 150 (which is typically trouble free) etc rather than being aggressive. (i.e. In case you've never played there, giant unseen waste bunker dropoff thing on 1 if you smooth anything longer than a hybrid)

Played with a guy who couldn't get it out his own shadow, so it was a lot find the scab which is drainging.

Definitely would play again.

Thanks for the heads up on Red Tail, we'll move on then to one of the other courses. I might be able to get us into Disney for cheap.

Eagle Dunes just up from Redtail is in fantastic shape and fun for all.

I played eagle dunes recently and it was in good shape. Anyone checked on what ocn's rates were? I haven't play there in awhile so I don't know the condition. Aldo eagle creek is always in great shape out by oia.

great idea florida wrx members and would definitely like to see more of this to possibly bring us together a few times a year (if not already being done and i'm just late to the party)....jump around the state bi-monthly, quarterly or whatever it is to some of the fantastic courses we have. unfortunately i won't be able to make it for this weekend but will keep an eye out for future plans

regarding orange county national, Naylor09 gave an update on september 19th on its condition below. rates for this saturday on either course before 2 pm appears to be $89 per person. after 2 pm, $69

Played there yesterday, course is in fantastic shape. They where reshaping the bunkers on both courses (barley notice it) other than that the course was outstanding! I played there all the time they went through a rough spot this year but it was only in the rough mostly around the greens. They where saying it was the rye grass was not allowing the Bermuda grass to grow. Still my favorite course in area and though to beat for the price"
