Both Wekopa courses will be in solid shape Cholla will have had a longer grow in period than Saguaro. As Fore Life Mentioned Wekopa will be cart path only and to be honest playing Cholla pretty much sucks when it is CP only. Saguaro is a little better being stuck on the path and if you do not mind walking Saguaro was designed to promote walking and would be a better choice vs CP only

so after getting back from 4 rounds (1 round at sun ridge canyon, 2 at we ko pa saguaro course and 1 at we ko pa cholla course) here are my thoughts:

1) sun ridge canyon is meh. nothing really memorable about the course. i don't think i'd ever play there again. not that it was bad, but it was just meh.

2) we ko pa saguaro is great. great views and great condition. although, since it was cart path only, it took us 5 hours to finish. plus, we were playing behind 2 groups of women who were hacks and decided to play from the white tees! none of them could clear the desert area between the tee box and fairways and they all decided to hunt for their balls and then try to hack it out of the desert. it was so painful to watch and play behind.

3) we ko pa cholla was amazing. amazing layout, amazing views, amazing conditions. tried to play it again the next day instead of saguaro but they were booked up. definitely a course i would play again and again. but, on this day, we were stuck behind a group of canadians that were just as slow as the women group from the previous day. and they would walk up to the green while leaving their cart back in the fairway. so not only did we have to wait for them to clear the green, we'd then have to wait for them to walk all the way back in the fairway for their cart.

so i really loved we ko pa, but there is zero pace control there. no rangers to speed up groups. so painful. that would be the main reason i wouldn't play there again. 5 hours is ridiculous for a round of golf.

Sorry to hear about the pace at Wekopa. One of the reasons I play out there so much is generally they do a good job in fact in 20+ rounds this year my slowest was 4:30ish

Sweet Jesus!! 35 hdcp women playing whites that can't clear a 70 yard carry, that is a nightmare. Thank god you didn't have a Glock in your bag. You'd be in jail for murder or your group would've taken turns eating the gun! :angry22::russian_roulette:

i don't mind playing behind bad golfers. and usually they are aware of their time and pick up or drop from different places to pick up pace of play. but these women were oblivious and also conceited enough to not care how slow they were playing. we tried to jump them at the turn, but couldn't. and they even took a long time to order their food!

When people are that inconsiderate, or just oblivious i call the proshop and ask for a ranger. Paying some big a** money for a 5 plus hour round is just infuriating. It is getting to be ridiculous in this country, i went to ireland and at some of the most picturesque courses in the world, where folks stop to take pics and stare, etc we never had more than a 4 hr/15 min round most about 3 hours 50 mins. The native irish pretty much all walk with an electric push type trolley, and the women take one practice swing and hit the ball. I can never understand beginners playing difficult Pete Dye courses for $235 a pop. They should be at a $35 executive course until they hone their game, or at least play fast. Rant over.....blood pressure meds taken.....Hulk no longer want Smash something!!

Pretty sure that is the standard answer but based on grow in and conditions they usually go off path earlier. Last year we were 90 deg riding in first half of December
