Sawgrass/Hall of Fame

Heading down there next week and was just looking for info about some things regarding these places. Any good caddie reccomedations, more interested in a guy who is fun to hang out with for 5 hours rather than a guy clubbing for a pro or is it better to not get one, even though I really would like to walk the course. For those who have been to the Hall of Fame, was it worth it? I'm coming down from the north so it would mean skipping a round but it looks pretty awesome.

Thanks in advance..

Best greens in florida are at st johns golf and country. They are a solid 12.5 right now. Course is perfect. King and bear are in good shape but not worth the money. Hall of fame is awesome, took about 4hrs walking thru it. If you want to get out on a private club called Palencia let me know when you will be in town and i can slide out there for a great price.

HOF is definitely worth it. You can spend two hours or two days in there depending on how much you want to read and see. Some good interactive stuff in there, plus the outdoor 18-hole real grass putting course is fun in nice weather (like right now).

I agree that King & Bear is the better of the two courses, also has a beautiful clubhouse.

Haven't had a bad caddie at Sawgrass. Most are good storytellers and they see a lot of bad golf from nervous folks, so they're good at keeping spirits up and the pace up, though you're still usually looking at some pretty long rounds on the Stadium.

Only bummer in the area is that the huge PGA Tour Stop store across the lake from the HOF is closing in another couple weeks, and it's pretty much gutted already as far as deals. Hard to believe such a big golf store couldn't stay afloat there, but I hear their rent was a little steep for where they were.

It's all what you really want to do. Yes, the HOF is cool but if you're not into that kinda thing then play golf. I do think everyone needs to see it once though and like everyone else has said you can spend a few hours in there if you really wanted to. If you are looking for good restaurants or anything around PVB let me know!

Just got back from a round on the Stadium and Dye's Valley. Stadium was a fun experience - however it was a 5hr 45min round!! Significantly longer than Pebble! Although St John wasn't in my plans, the guys I was paired with on Dye's Valley had just played St J's and said it was in GREAT shape. Dye's Valley is a little slow due to overseeding.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
