Junior membership options Boston

Hi guys- I moved to Boston last December and figured I would spend a season playing the public options, After now getting through a quarter of the season, I am really getting tired of 5 hr rounds and not having the amenities that a private club provide. I understand that many of the clubs around the area require member recommendations and have an interview process. I am 25 and looking for a club to join for the long haul, just still don't know the area as well as Id like. If anyone could post or message a list of viable options that would be outstanding.

Where do you live Matt? Spring Valley CC in Sharon has great junior deals and the course is in the best shape ever.

I've heard Blue Hills CC in Canton is in need of members, pretty close to 128 - Walpole CC as well just down 95, pretty close to Spring Valley CC

Hey Pearls I live in Somerville currently. We're just closing on a place in Brookline right outside of Coolidge corner.

I'm also in Brookline right now. I've done a little bit of research into this, but you're going to be looking at probably at least ~30 minute drive to any place that will have openings and not cost a silly amount of money. I'm lucky that my job lets me play on weekdays, so I normally go to George Wright which is in pretty good shape right now.

2 clubs that I got information from: Blue Hills in Canton has no initiation fee for 2 years right now (calling it a "discovery period") and they have a membership for 27-37 year olds that all-in would be ~$11000 per year (dues + capital charges + food minimum). I also looked into Wollaston in Milton, but their initiation is still $35k.

Granite links has a young membership. Not sure of the cost though. Inquire about it and at least you will get a free round of golf. At least thats what they did when my buddy asked about it.

Spring Valley has a deal that is first year you only pay usage and 2nd year you pay full boat. You sign a bond to guarantee you are all in for the 2nd year. Jr. memberships are around $3-5k I think but not 100% sure. Course is in amazing shape. We have a ton of guys that live in Brookline, Newton, Needham, Weston, South Boston, etc. Every weekend there are wing dings with anywhere from 8-42 guys and it is always easy to make a game. There are also groups that have games during the week on Wed.'s and Fridays. Course is 100% better IMHO then Blue Hills and so is the food.
