Adidas vs Zero Restriction Gore-Tex Jackets

I am looking at these two jackets, the Adidas is the 2 layer and the Zero Restriction is the Stealth.

The ZR is $300 and the Adidas is $100, is there a $200 difference in the jackets? I am fine with paying for quality, but is there really $200 worth of a price difference?

I've had both and I don't see any difference in quality. I actually like the fitting better on the Adidas, ZR is based off how golf clothes use to be sized where larger was better.. Both are gore tex. Also Adidas seems quieter.

I purchased the Adidas 2 Layer Gore-Tex Jacket on Amazon prior to a trip to Bandon. The jacket worked well and the price was right. Also provided a better fit than the zero restriction jackets I was considering. I was between a small and medium in ZR, while the size small in Adidas fit great. I would recommend the full zip over the half zip if you are deciding between that as well.

So is Adidas the larger of the two? I wear tailored/trim fit size Med, dont want a big baggy jacket on.

Yes. I found the Adidas to run slightly larger than the zero restriction. I wear mostly size small shirts since I don't want to be swimming in fabric (5'9" 165 lbs). The adidas jacket worked well by sizing down like I normally do. If you're worried about being between sizes and can't try them on in a store, I would recommend ordering two different sizes thru Amazon (or another retailer that offers free returns) and try them both on.

I haven't tried the Adidas. But I can vouch for the quality of the Zero Restriction. I think at $100, the Adidas is an incredible deal. I don't see how you can go wrong, especially if the fit is right.

I'm 5'8" and while about 20lbs lighter than you, I'm swimming in any manufacturer's small shirts these days. Sleeves are too long, and the overall length is too long. I don't have broad enough shoulders either, so I can really only buy tailored fit stuff. You're a lucky person!

Agreed. That Adidas Quarter Zip in red is a great option as well. I bought that one at the same time. Went with the full zip and was planning to send the half zip back. Another guy on my recent golf trip needed a new jacket and bought it from me. Kept him dry the entire trip as well.

The site appears like a hack job, but yes, they're legit and have very good customer service as well. Been around for a while.
