Titleist 718 MB

Happy New Year wrx'rs!!

Im looking for unbiased reviews of the Titleist 718 MBs. Also if anyone else has questions about these clubs this can be a place to post them. I did a few searches and can't find much on these beautiful sticks. I watched the usual youtube suspects but I prefer to learn from my peers. Mark Crossfield's video was more focused on his drones and his buddy, mixed with him selling people on playing blades. I actually enjoyed the video but I learned very little about the club itself. I digress... I've been a club ho for a long time, and currently game the MP5. I played the 714 CBs briefly and hated them quite honestly. I've always wanted to game the mbs. They've seemingly been the benchmark of good players and are about as classic as you can get. I've only hit the mbs briefly indoors, off mats. Certainly not ideal. I'd love to test them in outdoor conditions, hitting off of turf. Unfortunately, I'll be having surgery on a torn hip labrum in two weeks and I don't think I'll have a chance to test these puppies outside before then (its 10 degrees in NY). Also, I'll be laid up and not swinging for several months afterwards. Nonetheless, Id like to use this $500 gift card I won before it expires. I like my mizzys (my current mp5s and the Faldo inspired mp18 blades) but c'mon mizuno...you make beautiful irons...figure out how to make a respectable PW!!!. The high toe is especially unappealing. I like the square, squat, more defined lines of the MB much more. I just wished they came in the 714 satin! Anyway, any feedback, interest, questions, or really anything that gets the conversation going about these clubs is appreciated.

They're really great clubs if your a great ball striker. I personally found they felt the best of any blades I've tried (MP18, Apex, not 730 yet), but I find they look a fair bit smaller and I don't know if it's just a mental thing but I find them a but less forgiving. But again that could just be me. There were basically no differences in ball flight and relatively little in distance as you would expect with blades. If you really think they're the ones, go for it, they're great clubs.

I only hit about a dozen balls with the 6 iron the other day but dammmmnnnnnnn.... it felt softer than any other Titleist MB yet. Honestly didn't seem all that difficult to find the center which was really nice, too. They didn't have that intimidating look I expected them to have... I'm a little smitten honestly. LOL I am seriously considering trying to scrap some money together to buy some this year, they just seem like they would be a lot of fun to play. I agree, though... that 714 satin would have been the icing on the cake.

Super irons, with both shafts I hit. Not gonna change, I haven't picked up enough yardage the last 2 cycles to warrant a change. Still hitting the 714....
