E6+ vs E5+

Distance
I picked up a sleeve of the e6+ yesterday and took them out to the course to compare to the TP Black LDP.
The E6+ is definitely the longest ball I have ever hit but I could not get very much greenside spin. I actually drove a 358 yd
par 4 yesterday hitting this ball and my irons were playing about a half club longer. For me I was consistently picking up 10-15 yds with the occasional 25+ pickup. My question
is the e5+ anywhere close to the same distance as the e6+. If so and the ball spins just a little bit more around the greens this
may be my ball to play this year. I had never tried the e6+ but had tried the B330-S. With the B330 I never got these kind of results
with driver and irons. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I've played a box of e5+ so far this year, and honestly I still prefer the e6+, which is what I will be switching back to. It may be mental/confidence, but I still prefer the performance (distance/spin) of the e6+. I've never been much of a "back it up 2 feet" sort of spin, so as long as I can get the ball to stop, that's fine with me.

My experience was that they are both similar in length from the tee. ALL irons are between 1 to 1.5 clubs shorter with the E5+ vs. E6+. Around the greens, from sand, 40 yard shots the E5 + is awesome. I just could not get on with the E5+, actually I couldn't run away from the fast enough. I'm trying the TP Red LDP. I'm not blown away, they are good but not great.

If you can drive the green on a 358 yard par 4 I wouldn't think you need to worry too much about losing distance. I haven't tried the e6+ yet primarily due to the lack of greenside spin, but I have tried the e5+ and B330S - both of which have decent distance and good greenside performance. With your distance I would imagine the B300 is the best Bridgestone ball for you, but you drive the ball over 100 yards further than I do, so I'm not sure I'm qualified to comment.

At my swingspeed, I did not find the E6+ 1 yard longer than the LDP Black; however, the really low spin turned me off of it. I do think it's better than last year's offering, but I think there are balls that go just as long and spin more. E6+ vs. E5+, I'd say the biggest difference between the two isn't distance, but spin and feel. Maybe you're an E5+ kind of guy?

Can't tell you much about the e6+, but I have been experimenting with the e5+ and the FREAK. Both are quite long off the tee, for me. For the me the FREAK has the edge over the e5+ for one thing and one thing only. It doesn't shred. The e5+ shreds like soft cheese to a grater. I like the e5 so much better. That's why I originally switched to the e5. Don't get me wrong, around the green the e5+ stops dead, but looks like a white fuzzball when you do. The FREAK does roll forward a bit, but I don't have to replace it after every hole. In fact, I played an entire 18 with only one FREAK and it only shredded a tad bit once.

Thanks for all the input. I picked up a sleeve of e5+ and e6+ and will be doing a head to head test today.

For me the e6+ seems to be quite a bit longer than the TP(Red& Black) balls that I have been playing.

I have always played either Pro V1 or the Taylormade TP balls and just decided to try these on a whim.

I wasn't necessarily looking for more distance but was more interested in the straight ball flight that the e6+ promotes. I may have to give the

B330 ball a try as it may be the best comprise.

I will post back results.
