Cobra Connect/Arccos 360

Back in September I picked up a set of Cobra F8 SL irons with the Cobra Connect/Arccos grips and the app. The first few rounds everything worked well and I loved being able to see the accumulated data and build a true, factual based set of lengths for each club and dispersion patterns. It was great to go into the site and be able to pull out shots from each round or see info for each club.

Fast forward to the last 3 months and the service and associated support have fallen off. In some cases, random holes are missed or in some cases, it'll collect data for 14 holes and then miss the last 4. Or, in the middle of a round, a hole will just go away. In many cases, it won't collect putts and it's showed me posting rounds as low as 52 for 18. Yeah...that ain't happening. There is no consistency between which clubs this happens with and I've reached out to their support who had me delete and reinstall the app, they've had me change the shorts I'm wearing, seriously and basically there has been nothing suggested to fix the problem. The support team has only been of real assistance once and that's when they had the 9's flipped on a course we were playing. They made that change in 5 minutes while I was on the course. When I call in or email, it's a seemingly endless set of responses without an attempt at a solution.

Before rounds start, I shut down every other app, make sure nothing is running in the background, my phone battery is completely charged, the phone is in the front left pocket (righty) of non-cargo shorts, it's positioned vertically, there isn't a cover on the phone, courses are downloaded at home on wifi, etc. I've scoured the FAQ's looking for something I'm potentially missing and every other app works great on the phone.

Any of the smart Arccos users have any tricks of what can help address this? Having seen what it can do and now having it in a less valued state makes paying for this rather naive.

No help to suggest but when I was using Arccos I kind of thought it was a miracle such a kludgy technology could work even as well as it did (probably missing about 1 in 20 shots for me on average). I mean, the things on the clubs emit a coded ultrasonic chirp that you phone's mic picks up while bouncing around in your pocket. That's just nutso-sounding but somehow it seems to mostly work, mostly.

Had the same thoughts through the first 8 rounds. It missed maybe 1-2 shots a round and those were almost always tap in putts for me but now...eh. Maybe we can get KSigs with the auto tracking capabilities.

Try deleting data / cache under android application setting.

You won't lose Arccos data. But It will clean up everything and start with clean sheet.
