Lux Putter Reviews

I have an interest in the Lux putters but found few reviews while conducting a search.

Would greatly appreciate your reviews.

I think pretty much all of the reviews are in this thread which is the good thing. The bad thing is the thread is about 14 pages long.

I posted a kind of short review a few days ago in the good bye thread, bottom line is that Chris and Lamar are great to work with. I would offer that they have a great product at a great price and the Customer Service is beyond belief. I think if you are looking to buy a "custom" putter and you can do it for less than $150, and the product is visually as appealing and well made as products costing more, then what is not to like. I would offer that the putter putts as well as the higher priced alternatives on this site, so from my perspective its a GREAT deal. I look forward to my next purchase, a Sunset Beach putter. Thanks, but most of those posts are about the cosmetics of the putter.

I have a Caswell model that I love. I was used to the center shaft of the SeeMore putters, so it took a bit of practice for me to get used to the offset. But after playing around with ball position, it rolls just as well as any of my Bettinardi's, Camerons, Rossa, SeeMore, Rife putters that I own or have owned in the past. It's not as soft as the Bettinardi's, but not clicky like the Rife. A lot of the roll-groove type of putters feel kind of dead to me and this wasn't that.

It rolls perfectly fine for a good stroke, and is more forgiving than I thought it would be on slight miss-hits. Rolled good enough in a scramble tournament I played in last Thursday for my team to shoot 58. And I rolled in 5 of those birdies, including 2 over 15 feet. Probably the single-best bargain putter for all the customization you get.

Not to mention the top-notched service from Chris and LaMont. I can't stress that part enough either.

I will give you my review. I have played my Lux since it arrived in july of this year, or so, and couldnt be happier. I find to feel to be a sweet clicky sensation that is just pure. The mill marks are deep and perfect. The customer service is phenomenal, and the custom stamping is great.

I would completely recommend this putter to anyone who was interested. They are a wonderful alternative to the $400 custom putter.

I am going to go into next year with the same putter in my bag for the first time in a long time, simply because I doubt that this putter (i have one of the original in oil can finish, yum) could be improved upon for me.
