Sun Mountain Speed Cart bag help

need a cart bag, ...I think

OK the season for most is almost over, but mine is peaking with the kids baseball season over. I've been trying to get in 36 a day on the weekends and as much as I can during the week so I invested in a Sun Mountain Speed Cart V1. My problem is the PING Hoofers I own don't function very well with the cart, the clubs don't want to go in or out and the putter disappears no matter what slot I put it in. I can't figure out how to organize the bag or if say the Woode top would fare better , I can't even invision how it would, but then I couldn't figure it out when I had the Grom.

I have done a search and most threads, that may be relevant, are from '07 or older and bags have run production cycles(SCB hard to find in non-deluxe model). I know the topic of a bag with legs for the range has come up but function for the cart is paramount, I can switch to a Hoofer for range days as all I would need is clubs, towel and tees.

Any ideas??

I got lucky and found an '07 model C-130 cart bag that was heavily discounted at a local proshop. The deals are out there.

golfbagplace.com seems to have a full line including sun mountain sbc. I have never done business with them. I am looking for a bag to go on the v1 too, but I want a 14 club top. Looking at the sbc deluxe and mpb, but also the nike sasquatch. Does anyone have the Sasquatch and can comment on how it sits on the v1 with its oval base. Does it move around and slide sideways.

I've read through the threads the SCB Deluxe was a bit flimsy, thats why I was looking at the older model.

I did quite a bit of research before I bought a bag for my V-1 cart. After looking at a lot of bags, including the C-130, MPB and stand bags, I bought the Speed Cart Bag Deluxe and am very happy with it on the V-1 cart. It's made for the cart and works great. I don't consider it flimsy at all.

If you're considering the C-130 make sure you put it on a V-1 cart and then the SCB Dlx. The top slopes the wrong way and your clubs will bang into each other. The only bag that I found with the top sloped correctly for the V-1 cart is the SCB...everything else is backwards, as it should be for a golf car or carry/stand bag, but not a push cart.

I have a V1 and use an SQ Tour stand bag on it. It works fine, it turns a little bit from time to time but with the solid handle it's just a matter of grabbing it and putting it back straight. I haven't had the combo very long and it could be a matter of me not having the brackets adjusted quite right as well. I like having a stand bag and the small amount of pain it is to straighten the bag once in awhile is not a huge deal for me to mess with.

I have the SCB Deluxe and it is anything but flimsy and works great with the V1. I highly recommend this bag as it will hold everything you need on the course, 14-way divider, putter well and an insulated pocket for keeping drinks cold. I then have a Titleist x86 stand bag for the range and traveling.

Agreed, the top is sloped for upright use with the woods at the back, but as far as the clubs banging into each other, once in the bag they really dont move and you wont be hearing clanging all the way round the course. They move more in a carry bag.
