How to Clean A Tour Bag?

Wow- what a deal!!

I'll have a think about what you could use safely but great deal that.

I would think Foam Leather cleaner. When sprayed, it acts like hair mousse (expands rapidly), and works very good. It usually doesn't contribute to fading either. I am off to golftown to use the giftcard I got for Christmas. If Americans think Black Friday is big, come to Canada on the 26th and save even more!!!!

Even with the falling dollar? What's the exchange rate now anyway? It can't be that good.

Sorry for the off-topic post! Back to the tour bag: I would use soap and water first then progress with something stronger if needed. Baby steps.

That bag is synthetic leather, ie vinyl.

If really dirty use ArmorAll or other Orange based car wipes, then use some automotive vinyl detailer/protectant .

I use Meguire's works great detailer spray on a terry towel. Keeps dirt from embedding.

The Canadian dollar has fallen somewhat, probably around .80 to the US 1.00.

The bag was a demo, I couldn't believe the deal. I can use it as a cart bag for tournaments and not worry about wrecking something.

Thanks for the tips-- it feels like leather, but the link from my original post says it's synthetic, so possibly an armour-all would do wonders.

Since I have some wipes in the garage for my car, and there's 15" of snow on the ground outside my back door, why not?

nice find - couldnt find any in Montreal - soap and water, i have the T2 Staff bag, and thats what i use to clean it off.

I went with the armour all wipes and it came out great. I'll post a few pics later today. It's a scuffed bag (hence the $25 price), but I'll use it without caring about the damage... unlike my tour bags.

I was lucky finding the bag, I walked in to GolfTown in South Calgary shortly around 9am boxing day and the manager and one of his staff were standing at the entrance commenting on the stuff they couldn't believe wasn't selling. One was the 'demo' bags they had on the putting green for $25, but the other was Nike Unitized putters for $50.

They had a $400 Callaway FT-5 tour bag and a Cleveland Tour bag with the paper still on the zippers for $25. Once people woke up, no doubt they went quickly.

I picked the best of the 5 T2 TaylorMade bags I could find, and bought a Mako Unitized just for the hell of it.

Other than that, I wasn't that impressed with the Boxing Day sales- and Nevada Bob's wasn't good at all, IMHO. No changes that I noticed between pre-Christmas and Boxing Day... at least that I could see out here. Last year they had a great sale!
