Anything wrong with this set up?

What could be in the bag???
Ping G5

TaylorMade r7 steel fairway 3 wood (need it for driving holes that may not be suitable for the driver, and holes that my 4 wood can't reach effectively, and I need something a little more suitable to hit from long par 5) I'm looking to add this into my bag. Distance: ??? I have not yet bought this club and have no idea have far/long I hit this club.

TaylorMade V Steel fairway 4 wood (like the launch angle of it and it's awesome off the deck) Distance: 220 yards

TaylorMade V Steel fairway 7 wood (perfect club for long par 3's and it replaces my 3 iron) Distance: 195 yards

So I guess my question is, what is your thoughts on having a Driver, 3 (I don't have this club yet!!! I'm thinking about it), 4, and 7 wood set up??? I will be selling my 60* Spin Milled!!!

Is this set up o.k.???

3 wood (don't have it, thinking about)

4 wood

7 wood

Please help!!!!

It appear you would have a 10 yard difference between your 3 and 4 woods but 25 yards between 4 and 7. I would go with the 4-wood in favor of the 3 because you can always hit a club +/- 10 yards at that range, whereas dropping a fairway wood will allow you to bridge a distance gap somewhere closer toward the short game end of your set which is always more beneficial.

You already have the 4 and 7 woods, right?

I've thought about going with a 3+, 4 combination. Right now I'm playing a 14.5 or 15* 3-wood, but am thinking of picking up a 13-13.5* 3+ wood and a 16.5-17* 4 wood. I'm probably gonna wait for the newest Titleists to come out.

Since you already have the 4 and 7...adding a 3+ would give you a better yardage gap. The V-steel T/S (tour spoon) would work well. Or, have you thought about replacing your G5 with an FT-3 Fade? [sarcasm]...

I agree with all above.

If you want to keep the 4 wood then i'd go for a stronger lofted 3 wood (13-13.5*). A 15* and a 16.5* wouldn't make sense. The other alternative is to take the 4 wood out of the bag and just carry a 15* 3 wood. There's plenty out there that'll give you good distance off the tee and will perform if you want to hit a high approach shot into a par 5.

By the way do you carry 4 wedges at the moment. The only reason I ask is if you do go for 4 woods in the bag and the 7 wood replaces the 3 iron then you can still carry 3 wedges.
