Currently have a cell phone upgrade available. Currently have the original HTC EVO 4G. Its a good phone, its just getting old, and slow.

Im on Sprint, and plan on staying with Sprint.

There are 4 phones Im thinking about getting;

Samsung Galaxy SIII

Iphone 5

Samsung Galaxy Nexus

HTC EVO 4G LTE

Reasons Im thinking about each one;

GSIII: I like the huge screen, Android 4.0, super fast processor, lots of memory and room for a big micro sd card, can get otterbox camo case

Iphone 5: at first i didnt like this phone at all, never really been an apple person, but actually held one in my hand the other day and it felt really good. User interface is super easy to use, will be getting software updates for a while, super fast processor, can get otterbox camo case

Galaxy Nexus: Big screen, lots or memory, no sprint apps, android 4.0 and will get updates from google as they come out(lead factor). decent processor, $100 bucks cheaper than the others(another big factor)

HTC EVO 4G LTE: Huge screem, android 4.0, super fast processor, room for big micro sd card,

If i had to knock out one it would be the HTC EVO 4G LTE, not that its a bad phone, its just the one i dont like out of the 4.

If anyone has these phone, can you tell me your likes dislikes about them? thanks

I have the HTC EVO LTE and I do like it...but don't love it. I came from the 4g as well, and it is a huge upgrade.

I have had a few random issues, but it has been pretty solid so far. I looked at the Samsung, but I just don't like their interface coming from HTC. I used the Galaxy S2 for two days before I wanted to throw it away and went back to my EVO.

No experience with the iPhone 5 or Nexus.

I live in Dallas as well where the have rolled out the LTE service and it is amazing.

I work in the industry and I currently run a 4.1 ROM on my i500. All I can say is the S3 or the Nexus will be lightning fast. The S3 is very stable from my experience and will get the 4.1 update as far as I know. After using the S3 or Nexus I do not know how you could want to go with the iPhone. I love apple, but the screen just isn't big enough for me to browse comfortably.

The GSIII Mini is a joke in terms of specs from what has been leaked as of now.

Out of what the OP mentioned, I'd recommend the SIII without question. It destroys everything else out as an overall package. I won handily in browsing time over every other current phone, with the exception of the RAZR MAXX which wasn't tested: http://blogs.which.co.uk/technology/smartphones/best-smartphone-battery-life-which-browses-the-web-the-longest/ Great screen, great battery, great signal, and it will be getting OS updates for quite a while.

If budget is a concern for you though,I'd actually recommend the Galaxy SII over the Nexus.

reason im staying with sprint is im under my sister and brother in laws contract and they only charge me $40 bucks a month. its hard to be that IMO.

Yeah, after doing some more research, the screen on the iphone 5 is just not big enough for my tastes.

the mini s3 is coming out, but will not have the same internal specs as its bigger brother.

rumor is the s3 will be only $50 bucks from spring on black friday so i may just hold out till then to save some money.

Im in the same exact situation. I plan on keeping my EVO for just a little longer though since I just fixed my camera and replaced the battery. This is how I look at this situation:

If you want to stick to android. Get the s3. Its the best android phone on the market. If you want to go with Apple, get the 4s or 5.

All depends what you are looking for in a phone. There is no one is better than the other. It's what best suits your needs. The best android phone right now is the s3, but there are a few new ones coming out very soon that will be better. If you want pure android without having to root, only option is the galaxy nexus. If you want simplicity, iPhone 5. I have them all (but use blackberry) and each is better for different reasons. I will be waiting for the new blackberry 10 next year though. Looks amazing.

Bail before they are sold? My contact is coming up and Sprint's service is just so so in Houston. At&T and verizon both have better reception here.
[/quote]avoid AT&T like the plague. I live just outside of houston, about a mile off of I-10, an could not get service in my living room (early this year, so it's not likely to have really gotten any better). I had dropped calls on a regular basis. Went back to Verizon and have no plans of switching again.
