Shorts length

I buy the footjoy performance shorts which have a 10" inseam and have them altered to 9". Can't stand to have shorts at or below my knee. I like them to sit just above knee. I've just accepted I have to have them altered

I would like to have that similar length to just above the knee, but since I am a short-legged and long-torsoed individual, I have to settle for knee length shoes. I have recently purchased Ben Hogan and Antigua shorts, and they offer similar knee-lenght (or slightly below) fit for me. I am not one to compain, however, since I have found it hard to find less than knee-length shorts that offer the same type of fit.

Completely agree. I've got 3 pairs in black, grey and navy and honestly I wear them more than my Travis Mathew and Nike shorts.

Any experience with the Fila Putter Pants from Kohls? I just stumbled upon them online and ordered the "fitted" version in Navy. Figured for $29 it was worth a shot.

I like mine to hit about halfway down or the bottom of my kneecap. Puma's or UA usually fit perfect.

The shorter tighter fitting 80's preppy khaki shorts are becoming popular outside of golf. In not against them, but they're not my style hopefully manufacturers will offer multiple options instead of jumping on the latest trend.

On a side note, what do you guys think about people who wear pants to golf when it's 70+ degrees out? I always found it bizarre. It's like they are trying to look like they are on the tour or something. Personally I prefer to wear shorts whenever possible.

nope, i've only owned the shorts. but if i have to venture to guess, i'd assume their 'fitted' is similar to the IZOD slim fit golf pants. where they are slimmer than your typical pant, but not a j.crew/maide golf slim type of fit. probably a happy medium.

I purchase architect's shorts at boscovs at $10.. a local tailor charges $10 to raise them to 6 inches inseam length. lands end sells 6 inch shorts for $30 to $35. off season they sell in the $20's. Architects are just as durable for less.

I'm not saying the John Stockton or Jerry West style of short (as someone mentioned earlier) needs to come back in to style but the current Kobe Bryant style isn't any better. I often wonder if guys realize how silly they look with Capri length shorts or shorts that cover up their knees. As long as your knee is fully exposed and your more than half way down your thigh, you're doing fine.

I have my shorts tailored to about 7" which falls about 1.5" to 2" above my knee. I think the lady at the cleaners charges $9 for each pair.

I wear the Nike dri fit flat front shorts and I think they're 11" inseam and they fall just to above my kneecap and fit absolutely perfect!

I wear the same ones and they're a little too long for me. I'm considering having them tailored to just above my knee, because I love the material and fit, other than the length.
