Krank Drivers

Anyone ever try any of the Krank drivers as a gamer not LD? Been kicking around the idea of geting one to tinker with. Anyones 2 cents would be appreciated.

I literally just got home from the range and the guy beside me had a Krank driver . Don't think he got a single one in the air lol. So it's clearly a lousy driver ...

I don't know about the newer ones but the F5 to F7 all have a significant amount of bulge and roll, so much so that I sometimes struggle to tell where my F5 is actually pointing!

They are also pretty loud. I like it for LD comps when the music is pumping and you're hyped up on 7 coffees but I think it would drive me nuts as my normal gamer.

And it's a fairly personal gripe but I'm less inclined to buy a Krank after experiencing their marketing/customer service. I was getting 4 or 5 emails a week from them but when I actually asked questions about their product I got zero response. I got so frustrated I gave up.

I had a 6.5 adjustable wasn't the longest driver but absolutely straight, I really think with the right shaft they could be just as long as anything else.

I used the krank rages in LD events before I switched to acropolis. They are awesome drivers.

Play an f5 9 degree with ust shaft. I find it much more forgiving than my cobra f7+. Fuji shaft. Same length but more faiways for me.

Oh and yeah, it sounds like a softball bat. I never hit it at the range.

The stock krank shafts were no bueno for me. Buy an f5 head and goof around with shafts.

I have a Formula X LD 4* with a 3X Flywire shaft..got it last week and will game it in tonights league. I'm hitting..fricking lasers..with it. Farthest shot is a 336 baby draw down the target line and averaging 300`ish and pretty darn straight.

I currently bag a Cobra Bio Cell + @ 8.5*, but this thing..holy crap..I can't overpower it, the faster I swing the farther it goes..

For LD competition I hit the XR16 with XXX HoF. I have a few of the F7's but I just prefer the XR. I have not hit the X so can't speak to that.

When I play a regular round of golf I hit a Krank F6 with their stock stiff shaft and love it. Very forgiving, do not have to swing fast and still hit bombs all day.

I couldn't agree more! I actually went away from Krank for that exact reason! I gamed their drivers for the past 4 years (F5-F7) and really liked them for their accuracy and the ability I had to pick any loft (even low lofts) but found that they're being outperformed by other drivers. Their claims are EXTRAORDINARY but every time I ask a question about the driver's Center of Gravity, MOI, or anything else, they NEVER have an answer. They just tell me that nothing is longer/straighter. I want to know the science and data (actual data - not just that they've won championships) behind the claims.

I don't think I'm done with them...they really do make good products but sick of the unbacked up claims. If they really felt that way, they'd send Not allowed because of spam a couple drivers for their big tests and pit them against others.

They have reduced the bulge and roll on the FX. I didn;t care for the F7 but am back hitting Krank and I think this is the best head they have built, as far as the other specs go I am not sure.

I still game my F5 head hahaha its hot as hell and have it on a 46 inch Flywire X flex shaft. Kicks like mule and goes stupid long. Straight as hell also.

I recently did a Ping Demo of the G400 and G400 max on launch monitor with my Krank at my side. i kept hitting spinner cuts all day long with the Ping. Controlled the hell out of them that way also. Very consistent. The Max was too high spin for me though, IDK why we even tried upgraded shafts. Carry was avg 285 and with roll 315. Ball speeds were 168 and spin was 2800. With my 4 year old club from Krank I was at 310 carry, 335 total, 2000 spin, 174 ball speed and hit just bullets with boring flight. But again i am use to that shaft and setup for years now. And its hot as well. So I am sure its pushing CT way over. And since I am swing much slower after my two back surgeries its moving the ball faster than with harder faces on Pings.

And no I am not with Krank anymore....so not biased. Just know from years of hitting and testing side by side what heads are good and which ones are not.
