Honma TW747 drivers

That is spot on NSX! The 455 has a nicer, compact shape. My misses are hooks and if the 455 is fade biased, I'd better stick with that.

As for the shafts, I am a high ball, high spin player and thought the lower launching FP-6 (blue) shaft would be a better fit for me. The bombs that I hit were with the FD-6 (red) shaft. Although FP was definitely higher launching than the FD, can't deny the deep drives I got with that thing. Just not accustomed to the high trajectory.

Thanks.

I've found the stock Vizard shaft works very well for me and I used to have high flight and high spin issues as well (no longer since a teacher/salesperson spotted a "vital flaw").

But I think you have the alternate shafts reversed though. The FP is the blue and white one (and the lower launching IIRC).

The "gear" icon in the upper right hand corner of your post doesn't say "Edit" when you click on it ?

Sorry, don't know. But I think you would still need the wrench.

I didn't get a close look at it but when the guys at the store adjusted the settings for me they needed a unique wrench. The TM/Cally/Cobra wrench work work with the Honma.

Another round in the books with both drivers and it looks like the 455 head with FD-6 (red) shaft has taken the lead. The high launch still scares me a little but has been manageable and need some more time getting used to. On paper it shouldn't be the case. From what I read, the low launch FP-6 (blue) shaft has the stiffer tip and more rigid materials (TORAYCA® T1100G), ideal for my high spin high ball swing. The confusing part is that I hit the 460 head with FP-6 shaft way better at the range, not so much on the course.

this thread has been forgotten for long time so that I did not share my upgrade of TW747 460 with stock stiff 60g shaft from TW737 455 with stock stiff 70g shaft (red).

TW460 is by far way more easier/forgiving and LOOOOOOOOOOONGER club than tw737. perhaps shaft weight might have been the cause as I am aging, turning 50 this year. I easily drive average 270 yds on fairways, occasional 300+. The key to drive well with club is to swing EZ. I hope that many of you have the same/similar experience.
