I attribute at least some of this to spin, but have had zero issues stopping the ball. I'm not a numbers guy. If the ball goes far and then stops as expected, then spin is fine in my book.

I agree I'm no longer a launch monitor junkie. Its now about looks and feel. The srixon looks amazing. As long as the lower spin doesn't hurt stopping the ball im going to give them a try.

I'm a lower spin player which is why AP2 has worked well for me. Also digging my current setup though I'm not sure about the extra length - may cut them down a bit. Anyways to give you an idea, I was hitting what I thought were PERFECT shots with the Srixons and they would roll off the back. These CBs stop on a dime or back up slightly. That's X flex in the CBs compared to KBS stiff in the Srixons. They are weird irons. That said, on monitor the 785 with modus spun quite a bit more than the 765 spun. I'd see if you can try the Srixon before you buy - maybe grab a set from global golf or golf avenue so you can send them back after testing. How do you find the i210 spin to be compared to your ap2?

The I210 are a tiny tiny bit longer. A tiny bit more forgiving. A bit less workable (which is annoying me because my draw isn't drawing as much) and maybe don't look or feel as good. No issue with spin with either iron. The I210 seem to spin just as much. Both are really really really good irons.

> Noticed some comments here about the modus 120's......I have tried at least 6 times over the years to make them work, and this is my last, (although I have said that before)…..Something about them that I can't put my finger on. Not really that they are soft to flex, but there seems to be no umph in the head when you strike the ball...….Now I will say I have always liked heavy shafts and play s300's more than anything else......I have a new set of z785's that the only club hit is the 7 iron....I would love to throw another shaft in the 7 but want to keep them original for the bst…….

I find that the "softness" in the Modus 120s is all in the handle. I (like you) have played at least 4 sets with this shaft over the past 3-4 years and always end up moving away from, and then back again. Just bought a set of z785 with the 120s and can't wait to put them in play for this season. I've played the Bridgestone J15s, Srixon z745 and 545, and P790, and the MP18 MMC all with this shaft. Each time I come back I'm reminded of how weird and high up the shaft the kick point feels but I get very good results out of them.
