Titleist T100 verification

Looking for some help with a set of irons.

I bought a set of 4-PW T100s in stock spec from an established eBay seller with 20,000+ 100% positive feedback (who’s name I will leave out for the moment). The irons were new and in plastic and priced accordingly. On receipt they arrived in a wel-worn Titleist iron box, and looked good. Heads were all in plastic, as were grips and the grip plastic had the correct Titleist authenticity disclaimer. The 6 iron is etched with serial number and had manufacturing decals which looked identical to one I have still on a TS3 driver shaft I have. I was in no way suspicious and am a long-time Titleist iron player. I regripped the clubs and have hit them, and they feel and perform as expected with similar yardage to my current clubs. As I usually do when I make an eBay purchase, I asked Titleist to verify the serial number but the reply I got is that the serial number is not in their system. I’m perplexed because I’m no stranger to Titleist and would swear these are legit. I’ve contacted the seller who has been responsive and friendly, and vouches for authenticity. I’m looking for input, and questioning if anyone else has had experience with Titleist not being able to verify a serial number? I’ve read that they are unable to verify off the rack serial numbers (and usually custom order when I order directly), but find this hard to believe.

They look legit to me.

I play a TS3 now but not sure what it is with Titleist... they personally have some crap aspects at times. I had a set of 714 AP2's I bought from Golfsmith (Golf Galaxy now) and I called them for a potential shaft change by them and they asked for the serial number and they said it was not the system. I had Golf Smith call and they sat on the phone for 15-20 mins to finally get an answer it was in the system. Honestly when I gave up on Titleist irons. Cally irons since.

Thanks. I agree, they appear in every way legit to me. I have a set of 716CBs and 718AP2s in the basement right next to them, and can’t spot a detail out of place. They feel fine, and perform fine, but the reply that the serial number is not in the system caught me by surprise.

When you’re right, you’re right. The Titleist rep apologized for his mistake and confirmed them as authentic...

Try the 'product registration' function in the Titleist website, under the customer service tab. If that's right, after you enter the serial number, it should show the type of Titleist iron it belongs to. I think that's the closest way to find its authenticity.
