G410+ weight screw?

I used a wrench that must be broke and overtightened the weight screw and the threads striped. Threads are fine in the head. Does anyone know the screw size? I am having trouble finding a screw online to replace it without buying the whole weight. Or if anyone has an extra laying around. Let me know.

Check to see if it's the same size as the adapter attachment screw - if so it's a #10-32. If not, you should be able to just bring it down to any hardware store to find a match.

It definitely is not a 10-32. An 8-32 almost works, but it actually is an M4 thread. Kind of weird how a metric thread will work in thev8-32 threads but the 8-32 would not thread into a m4 thread.

I got the metric and was able to grind it down to the length needed. The only bad thing is that it is an allen head. But hey it works for now and cost me a $1

Glad you figured it out. What's really weird is that they'd use imperial for one screw and metric for the other.

The adapter is metric as well. The 8-32 screw would not screw into the ping adapter but the adapter screw would thread into the 8-32 and M4 threads.

Haven't looked at the g410 adapter but the G30 through g400 most definitely did not use an M4. I would be very surprised if they changed that with the newer g410 adapter but it certainly is possible. TM has been the only OEM to use an M4 in the adapter.

I just pulled my g400 shaft and the adapter threads are bigger like a 10-32. So they did change it. I guess it is to keep people from trying to force a older adapter into the head. Because it looks almost the same!

@joekelli Thanks for posting that. Interesting idea but I would have thought the different design and different amounts of adjustment would have prevented the ability to try and use one adapter in a head made for the other. Usually the change in shape would prevent the adapter from being inserted far enough to even try and get the screw to engage. But as I said, I haven't had the new design in hand so maybe that's a bit of a premature assumption.

the adapter looks almost identical until you look at the little humps they use. the older adapter goes in far enough that if it had the same threads you could get the screw to catch and accidentally force it in with torque wrench.
