Cobra Speed Custom Options?

I am getting fit for my driver this weekend, and I am between either:

 

Ping G5

 

Titleist 905R

 

Cobra X Speed

 

Does anyone know what the custom shaft options are for the Cobra Speed Series drivers?

I currently play X Speed 9.5 with VS Proto 70 Stiff.

 

The NV shaft that came in the X Speed felt too boardy to me so I put in a Diamana 73 and liked the results but a friend was playing the VS and I liked it.

 

Result = Match made in heaven

My experience is that Cobra is pretty limited on what they offer shaft wise. Probably the best option is to change it out yourself. Even though they are in the same company as Titleist they act as if they don't know what a custom club is. My brother ordered a set of Cobra forged CBs with DG S-300 SLs in them, was told they would be there in a few days. Weeks went by and they called only to find out Cobra doesn't have those shafts and was still waiting for them to arrive (great feedback). He asked about project Xs and was told they had no idea when they could get those. He finally just cancelled his order, bought a standard set and had me install the project Xs---which makes a great iron by the way. He ran into the same thing with the speed series drivers, bought one of those and put a regular NV in it. They may want a tour presence but they definitely aren't ready for custom work---kind of like the early days of Nike.

i never kept the stock shafts in the cobra drivers that i own, and with the xx speed driver i'm getting i told them just to install any old shaft as an accuflex shaft is going in as soon as i get the driver.
