spoke to adams custom dept today

regarding switch 9015dstock 60s to 70s matrix

purchased new 9015d last week. sent to adams golf cust dept to switch out the d.you matrix 60s stock to a shaft ,to a matrix 70s fairway shaft. was told by many that the 60s matrixs stock shaft plays weak. question is? what is the difference with the 70s matrix fairway shaft and the stock 60s shaft. Specs are 44.75 with swingweight at d2 . is thier a diffrence in quality.

What was the original shaft and what are you going to?

Same shaft with different weight?

when i bought my 9015d i had the 70g shaft installed instead of the stock 60g shaft. only reason i did it was for the extra weight. i'm sure it's the same exact shaft, just heavier...thus, no difference in quality.

i went to the adams 9015d 9.5* with 70g X flex stock matrix shaft from a titleist 907d2 8.5* with proforce v2 76g stiff. the adams launches higher, but that may be from the difference in loft...not sure. the matrix X does not seem any tighter/stiffer than the proforce v2 76g stiff shaft (probably due to the slight weight difference & lower torque in the V2). to be honest, i'm about to reshaft the 9015d with a tour issue proforce v2 86g X stiff shaft. the stock shaft just doesn't seem tight enough for me.

i asked for the 9015d to be finished at d2...never weighed it myself though after receiving it...so who knows?

my driver swing speed is 110-115 mph

thanks that help alot . I requested sw d2, cut at 44.75 swing speed at 107-110 i hoping it work better then stock 60s
