INDOOR PUTTING CARPET ADVICE. PLEASE HELP!!!!

DOES ANYONE KNOW OF ANY INDOOR OR OUTDOOR CARPETS THAT CAN BE USED FOR A PUTTING GREEN IN MY GARAGE?.

 

THE SPACE IS '17x'18. IN READING SOME OF THE POST I KNOW THAT SOME HAVE USED PHILADELPHIA BY SHAW 54170 Bella Vita 12' Unitary in color 70350 Grasshopper CARPET. UNFORTUNATELY, THIS IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

 

DOES ANYONE KNOW OF ANY OTHER INDOOR/OUTDOOR CARPET OR MARINE CARPET THAT CAN BE USED AS A PUTTING GREEN THAT HAS THE SAME STIMP SPEED (10-11)AND FEEL OF A NORMAL GREEEN?

I've saw a carpet which would be pretty good for a putting green but it is a UK based product. Its made by Rawson carpets and they call it patio carpet. If its not available where you are maybe try searching for patio carpet to find something similar.

I have two 9 footers that cost about 40 each on ebay. The dog ate the foam end off one, so I got the other. I realized I could seam them like carpet, which I did by overlapping the damaged end over the new one and using a boxcutter razor cut both at once for a perfect seam held with duct tape underneath. The are the ones with three holes at one end. They putt faster than burmuda but slower than bent grass by a little which is a good thing. However high stimp greens are more troublesome, but I play for fun on burmuda mainly.

Pro Putt Systems has some basic matts that would work at a reasonable price, also birdie ball is a good source. FYI

Proputts. I have a 6' x 14' green in my basement. They roll like real bent grass and hold a 10 - ish stimp speed. Great turf.

Their "Private" speed turf claims to stimp at 10.4. I've found that to be accurate. Not cheap, but it's held up remarkably well.

For the money- Birdie Ball. Bought one last winter, was a little skeptical when I received it, set it up and have been very pleased. Only used it about 20 minutes "most" evenings especially late winter/early spring. Greatly improved my putting.
