Which Taylormade irons were forged by Miura?

If the list is too long, is there a way to detect if a Taylormade iron was forged by Miura?

From my understanding, the 2004 RAC CB and MB's were the last ones. There may have been some sets of the 2005 CB's as well but not 100% sure.

I believe that there were very few TM irons forged by miura outside of the tour only stuff. I know the 300s had a small run for tour players, but none of the retail ones were Miura. Some RAC sets were forged by Miura for the tour, and a small number of RAC CBs forged by them were sent to retail. They were CB only and had a satin finish. All the RAC MBs for retail and anything of that line that said coin forged were not done by Miura.

There is no good way to detect which TM irons were actually made by Miura because Miura never discloses or affirms any contract work it does for other manufacturers. The only reliable information came from inside the factory a few years ago - a chap from England was visiting Japan and took a few photographs during his tour. That included several models that Miura made for Bridgestone and for TM. The only TM iron that I saw in the pictures was the FC-5000 or something like that. It was a cavity that came before the RAC irons. I remember Ernie Els playing a set at the President's Cup in Melbourne.

Some 300's and some 2004 cb's. As has been said most was for the tour. The retail ones I own and have seen that are Miura have a hand etched serial that is made up of dots and looks a little irregular.
One extra thing is that all the miura heads are satin finish although not all satin finish are miura.

Miura did some nike sets as well...

you have to remember that domestic golf co such as TMAG, cally, titleist etc dont have forging houses..they dont make golf clubs...just team of designers, all work is farmed out

I would think the plain 300 forged satin finish unmarked, sets would be Miura forged.

It's debatable about the retail sets.

I grabbed up these years ago, and they say on the shafts, made in Japan, shaft USA. Also the shaft bands are in Japanese, and there is no serial number on the 5 iron, most likely a made for Japan retail set. Possibly the 43rd set, rumor is around 500 sets.

I wouldn't know, my knowledge of Asian language is quite limited.

That's why I said debatable. I had some rac cb satin finish, I couldn't stand them, beautiful, but horrible feel, and very unforgiving, unlike these 300 forged I've had some nice rounds with, and I could put them right back in the bag. Great club.

I always assumed it was Japanese cause of this on every club.

I thought most of the Rac series were made by Kyoei.

Also on the 300 forged retail sets I've been informed only rifle 5.5 and 6.5 shafts were used on Miura sets.
