Looking for an MOI machine in SoCal

Possibly a strange question. I have an ancient Wishon strong three wood that I absolutely love. I'm looking to match my five wood and driver to it, but doing it by swingweight hasn't worked yet. I'd like to have someone measure the MOI of that club. Maybe I'll learn something.

Anybody here happen to know who has an MOI machine that could measure it for me? Someone in Orange County would be ideal, but I can travel to San Diego, Los Angeles or the Inland Empire.

Thanks for the thoughts, Scratch. I'll give Club Fix a call.

Cool Clubs...I spent some time with them recently and got an idea for a new shaft for my irons. When I inquired about MOI matching, I got this reply:

"(Clubfitter) emailed me today and I wanted to follow up with you on the MOI question. The practice involves a 3/8" stagger rather than the common 1/2" between clubs. The result is... progressively heavier swing wt's on the shorter irons, not a practice we believe to be productive. If you have any other questions or would like us to custom build anything to your exact specs please let us know."

I don't think they'll have an MOI meter....... :-D

I would try:

Look for anybody that is 'MOI certified.' They should be able to help you.

We're trading emails, but haven't actually met yet. Work has really limited me.

My plan is to have him measure my 3 woods, the 3 wood in particular because I love that club. Be very interesting to see how the three fail to match (my bet.)

Just got the MOI results on my clubs. Pretty pleased with the answers on the 6 iron I just built and not surprised by the answers on the other clubs. Ron and I had a great chat in front of my office when he picked up the clubs and he's going to return them to me. If you were interested in getting an MOI matched set, my impression is that he'd deliver a really well matched set. He seems to be as OCD as I am about nailing it to the nth degree--that's a good thing!
