Fujikura Fuel Tour Spec 60 Stiff, Anybody Hit This?

Hi All,

Looking at changing shafts in my PING G25 driver, and thought the Fujikura Fuel TS 60 gram stiff flex would be an interesting fit. I am looking for a lower launching shaft that is not whippy, I swing around 102 to 105 mph. I don't want to go to an extra stiff as I tend to get lazy with my swing and only go around 100mph sometimes, especially late into rounds.

I like playing a higher lofted driver head, mine is set at 10 degrees, so I need a lower launching shaft. Anybody try this shaft, does it produce a penetrating flight?

I play(ed) the x, a little too stiff for me. I like the profile though, low spin and flight. If you try the search, you'll find some more probably.

My swing speed is a little faster than yours (105-110) and I play the Fuel TS 60 in stiff, tipped 1/2". It is the best shaft for my swing that I have found. The Fuel is a low/mid launch and low spin shaft. It is very predictable and always seems to be very straight. You can feel the release but it is firm feeling and tip stiff. I tried the 661 Speeder, Tour AD BB and DI, Speeder 6.2 and 7.2 TS and even the Elements Chrome 65 tour stiff but none fit me as well as the Fuel TS. I've read some reviews that claim the Fuel TS is very stout but I find it much less so than the Speeder TS series. In fact, the Fuel TS seems to have a very similar profile to the 6.2 on TS Speeder.

I played the fuji fuel 60 Tour Spec X stiff last year my swing speed is 108 to 112 with a hard transition i guess, that shaft was a little stout for me.I talked to a guy at fujikura he told me the shaft i had, played like a 2X and the stiff tour spec would play like an X,Its a great shaft i hit some long drives with it but the stiff tour spec would serve me better.

I agree with most of what has been posted. I was fit for the Fuel TS Stiff and do really like it. I was right between a S and an X. Swing speeds in the 110-118 range. I am typically a mid launching high spin player. This shaft combined with an Adams Speedline LS got me the best results. I hit everything under the sun in fitting session and ended up with this.

When I really step on one I feel like it may be a little too weak for my swing, but 90% of the time its just fine.

I am interested in trying the TS Fuel. It appears to be the closest bend profile of a graphite shaft compared to the Nippon Modus 130. Stuff butt, stiffer mid, soft-ish tip.

Played a 60x in an Anser and loved the shaft. Probably one of the most stable shafts I have played. Great feel and very confidence inspiring.

I play the 60 TS X in a G25. My ss is 112-119. For me it is a mid launch low spin. It doesn't launch as low as the TS 7.2, PX 8A4, or Miyazaki Black but it spins as low as all of those three for me. It has more feel than the TS 7.2 to me, the TS 7.2 is stiffer. I like a stiff butt section so I like the feel quite a bit of the Fuel. It is the polar opposite of the White Board for me. Great shaft. I recently had it an a couple others on the Flightscope and the Fuel won vs the UST VTS Black.

I am coming from a Fujikura Alpha 60 stiff, and it is just way to soft for me. Almost feels regular flex when u really swing faster. So I am hoping the Fuel TS stiff will play in between a stiff and x stiff.

Looking at the specs, I would expect the Tour stiff will play stiff +.

I hope it plays stiff +, as I am looking to get my swing speed up to 105-108 range.

Has anyone compared the Fuel 60 Stiff to the TS Fuel 60 Stiff? I was recently fit for the Fuel 60 Stiff in the SLDR, but the fitter didn't have the TS and I would probably have the shaft cut down 3/4 inch to play 44.75" in the SLDR. Average SS was 105 on trackman.

I guess the real question is: does butt trimming another 3/4 of an inch dramatically change the bend profile of the TS?

I have the exact shaft in a G25 9.5. My swing speed is around 105. Very stable with a lot of feel. Couldn't be happier, Great combo!
