-Hitting it flush and seeing a nice high draw right at the flag.

-Making putts that keep momentum going.

Rather than rambling on about the usualy stuff (i.e. 300 yard drivers, hole outs, a beautiful course, etc.), there is one thing that gets my mojo going; the putting green. It's so relaxing and everyone on the putting green is so at peace. I don't know how to describe it, but it's the 8th wonder of the world in my books.

What I really enjoy about golf is the fact that every golfer share the same passion than you and from there you can make some new friends. I also love playing golf with my father and my friends. I also love to know that some hot chicks are pullin for you during the club championship!!! what a great feeling!!

 

Actually I love every moment that i spend on the course because golf is soo much for me...

I gotta say walk-off tee shots are my favorite...

 

a walk off is when you hit your tee ball flush and with out barely taking a look you bend down grab the tee and walk off the box all before the ball lands.

 

Oh also a flushed long iron... oh man! doesn't happen often but gotta love when you find it!

Thinking about that cool beer and shower that i'll have in a few minutes on a hot day walking down the 18th fairway after a good round.

-Being the first off in the AM with three good friends that take the game seriously but still joke through out the round.

- Spending a Saturday afternoon with my 9 and 11 year olds sons the game on the course

- a iron shot so pure that I never felt it touch the ball

- any shot that I pull off that was just as I had visualized it

I just posted in the Pet Peeve thread so it's only right I go hear next.

 

Of course I love all the standard stuff - pured iron shot right at the flag, etc. But my two favourite things:

 

1. Since my wife took up the game a few years ago, I really enjoy the passion and excitement she has developed for the game and watching her get excited when she hits it 190 down the middle (a good drive for her) or when she makes a 20 footer. She used to make fun of me, now she totally understands...

 

2. Being a bit of a shorter hitter, I must admit I probably have a bit of inferiority complex, but I absolutely love it when I win a match with good shot making, smart course management and holeing everything I look at. Especially sweet when the guy has $3000 worth of gear and is wearing $1000 worth of clothes (not that there's anything wrong with that) and he bombs it by me all day.

And I cannot describe to you how good that call on In-n-Out is, In-n-Out is THE BEST, period.

The feelings/sounds on the driving range right before a tournament. Everyone is nervous / excited, hitting balls at the same time, you can smell the dew in the air....good times

 

The sound my Futura makes when I pure a put. One of my favorite sounds in golf.

 

Hearing about complete hacks or people who never play the game that get a hole in one. Having played for going on 30 years and never having one these stories make me furious. But then I read about the 89 year old guy who just lost his wife and was playing with his buddies and aces the 145 yard hole with his driver. Makes me smile and crumple the paper at the same time.

 

Playing 18 with my boss in the afternoon and being able to write off getting home late as a "meeting that ran over"
