Wedge Fitting in Southern CA?

Hi all,

 

Does anyone have any suggestions on where the best place would be for a wedge fitting in Southern CA (preferably Orange, Riverside or LA county)?

 

I'm not really looking for a traditional club fitting. I already have shaft, length, lie, swing weight and loft gapping all dialed in. I'm more curious to getting a fitting specific to wedge bounce and grinds.

 

Wedge grinds are the one thing in my bag that I haven't been fit for, so I feel like I owe it to myself to see if there are any different/custom grind options out there that could help my game.

 

I would prefer this to be an in-person fitting, where a qualified fitter would be observing me hitting many varieties of wedge shots (pitches, chips, flops, bunker shots, half swing, full swing, etc...), then making different suggestions and letting me try demos based on what they see and the course conditions I usually play in. I am already pretty comfortable with my current wedges, so I won't be changing them based on the results of an online or over-the-phone fitting.

 

If anyone has any ideas, or reviews of wedge fittings you have been though, please let me know. The help is much appreciated.

I know you said riverside or orange but you might be better off coming down to Carlsbad and doing a fitting at titleist or taylormade. I have not heard of a driving range doing that kind of fitting. (Without walking away hoping the guy that just did it by eye knows what he is doing.)

My option to fall back on is doing the Vokey deal at Titleist. I've played their wedges before, so I know I like them. Plus, it would be really cool to be fit for wedges by Bob Vokey, himself.

However... $1500 for a fitting and 3 wedges is quite a bit of dough. It's not that I don't think that it would be worth the experience... I'm just looking for other local options that could do something similar for me.
