long winter = less exspensive membership rates?

so its going to be a late start to the golf season for some of us... people around Ottawa, Montreal and east of Montreal know what I am talking about... its looking like May before the courses will be playable.. later on into may before they are nice. I live on a course and theres still 2 feet of snow in some areas. yes, im guilty of taking the little ones sledding off the 17th tee.. pretty good hill. Anyways, back on topic. Do you think they could, should, or will lower the membership rates? just curious what you all have to say. its not fair... some of you folk get to play in nice warm sun all year and pay less than we do for what seems will be only 5 good months of golf. ok, im done whining! lol have a good day!

You could always move... No chance your going to get a rebate. Do you pay more when the season goes longer than usual?

Doubtful. Like the above said, would you be ok with the course making you pay more if you got to play later than usual because of GOOD weather?

More courses are going to be spending more to get the course ready for golfers already. Especially if they have mature trees (willows got crushed) in the areas that got hit with the ice storm that came through. We get shafted with a short season already. We know this, and if you belong to a private club, your not doing so because its the best value around.

Courses struggling to much now, this would be a good yr to bring friends, corporate or anything you can to assist your courses, could be tough yr.
