Any of you guys joining this year?

I've joined the Medalist Golf Association (www.medalistgolfassociation.com) again this year. Fun way to test yourself against some of the top amateur golfers around town.

Was a member last year, but only got to participate in 1 event, and it got rained out after 1 round. Either way, the first tourney this year is at Meadowbrook Farms next weekend, I'm thinking of playing in it.

It's really a fun way to see how pressure really affects your game, and it'll make you a better player b/c of that.

With my weekends off starting in about 6 weeks, I'm interested. How much is it to join and what are the entry fees like? How is the schedule set up?

 

EDIT - just noticed the website in your post, and I'll have to miss the first 2 tournaments, so it looks like I'll have to wait until next year. :drinks:

I need my index to fall about 4 shots before I "test" my game anymore. Hopefully I can get it figured out before the City Am.

 

The Medalist deal is pretty cool and I may end up in the events later this year.

 

Edit: I just remembered I signed up for the State Am qualifier at Meadowbrook. Time to hit the range.

is it the qualifier for whispering pines? was thinking of doing that too, it's in early april right?

My sister got accepted into A&M Vet School today..... :ok:

 

I'll probably be heading there to check stuff out.... :drinks: It'll be all business, no smiling..... :crazy:

Congrats to your sister. :ok: That's saying something to get in there. I went to school with some VERY smart people who didn't get in, so she should be proud. About The Traditions Club, I was supposed to play there today, in fact. My brother and I were planning a trip up earlier this week when he found out they had a tournament. We may head up there in a couple weeks, though. From what he and Kiran told me its supposed to be something special.
