Srixon 506 vs. 302

I'm looking for the differences in the two irons...they look very similar?

Tickyboy I belive has played the 302's and he might have played the 506's also. I was just checking trying to find reviews about them, and there ins't anything about the 506's. But from the little caption about them both and the pictures the 506's kinda just look like an newer version of the 302's.

I have played both the I-302's and now recently tried out the I-506's.

My opinion is that the I-506's is just not for me. The sole of this club is much wider than the I-302's and I truly mean WIDER!

If you like more of a traditional sole width, you will not be happy with the 506 model.

The I-302's I think are one of the best cavity backed forged irons out there. Very under rated!

I think Srixon did themselves a little injustice by trying to fix something that was not broke. I think they should had stuck with a similar design to the I-302.

I like the I-302 better. The I-506 don't seem to be that much of an improvement over the I-302 IMHGO.

Also, I don't like the look at address of the I-506 long irons as the cavity is exposed and, to me, a bit distracting.

FWIW, I would add if you can find a set of I-404, buy them!

If you were to get a set of 302's...and then put them to your specs...1/2 longer DG X-100...what type of swingweight difference will I be looking at....I usually get D-3?
