Interesting that the dropped the Takomo PW and went to Vokey.   He was doing 50. 56. 58.    I wonder why the change.   That Takomo bag is sweet though!

I wonder which L.A.B. putter will win out.  I know George has gone full in on the DF3,  maybe he can convince Wesley.

That Takomo bag looks great, kinda looks like a vessel. I wonder why he doesn't have the TPT in the DF3?

Honestly the wedges look insane. I'd have to bet he's sprayed those with some sort of salt/peroxide to bring out the rust in such little time in the bag. Lovely setup.

I'm about 99.9% sure Ghost bags are manufactured by Vessel/Vessel's supplier. So it all runs back to the same factory haha.

Taylormade in? He had a video where he was briefly testing QI and the AI Smoke in the driver, but went with the AI Smoke. He's played the Stealth Plus 3 wood/stealth 2 hybrid for quite a while now, got sponsored by Takomo for the irons, and has been with Titleist for a while in the wedges.

Since Grant is sponsored by TM,  it's kind of a running joke to not let other brands get mentioned on his channel.  There is a spot in this video when Wesley talks about how forgiving his Takomo irons are,  but they dub in Taylormade  😄

I’m not sure how long he’s had them in the bag (I remember him getting fit a few months ago) but mine look more heavily rusted naturally after only about a month or two. I started. Thread in Equipment asking why it is since I keep my clubs inside my house all the time and haven’t played in any rain at all.

Guess i'm not playing enough... got a fresh set of Raw SM9's on a Black Friday sale a few months ago and they don't even come close to his 10's. Well, it's just now back to normal spring humidity/temps in TN. So maybe I see some rust here soon.

Takomo is really going hard after the influencers.. I wonder how long before they need to up their prices to cover marketing/sponsors costs...

Maybe I am missing something, but I haven't found them to be that good of a deal.  They don't offer DG shafts, and everything is an upcharge.  With MacGregor you can get the MT Pros,  DG x100 shafts, Lamkin midsize grips and still be over 100 dollars cheaper.

KBS tours are pretty good shaft and will work for almost everyone. At a little over $600 I will give them a pass there. Sure others may be cheaper and others more expensive.. At this point I am still not really willing to take a leap on anything DTC..

I'm not getting rid of my S55s anytime soon.  And I might consider finding another clean set once these get wore out.  Hard to beat the price and performance there.

I do kinda agree.  At that price you can buy a TM set from a year or so ago thats probably of similar quality.  I do like buying not irons from DTC though.  I have a Sub79 Pro driving iron that beats out every name brand on the list for me.  I'm very interested in the Takomo driving iron as well.  I'll probably stick with the big name brands for woods etc just because the R&D put in those a Cobra driver from 3 years ago would have more "science" in it than pretty much everything DTC.

i think you would have to dry your clubs after playing with them as fairways tend to have a decent amount of moisture. personally i like my raw clubs looking like they came out of a junkyard though 🙂

The Taylor Made thing was a joke.  The first Kiawah video was on Grant's channel - Grant is sponsored by TM, so when Wesley said "Takomo", Grant dubbed over it with "Taylor Made".

I see that he is using a superstroke grip on his LAB putters. Is this a normal thing to do? I always thought that the LAB grips were needed to use the putters effectively since they require a forward press.

He has the lab grip on the DF3 that forward presses. On the link he has the superstroke, no forward press on the link so regular grip is fine.

It was a handful of short putts with the link that cost him the tourney though….

Interesting to me. He was top of the field at Punta Cana and makes a switch. Know it’s the same brand, but man Wes tinkers with putters  too much.
