Is there a difference between the Futuras that have the 2 sight lines VS. the ones that don't?

The version without the lines is older, 2003 I think. In 2004 it had the lines. Other than the lines, I don't think there are any differences.

Correct. Have had both and no difference other than the lines.

The Futura was in the prototype stage for years before it made its way into production. Since working with some of the biggest names in golf, including Phil Mickelson who had his first win with his Futura in early ‘04, Scotty has been able to refine the Futura to its current design. The Futura has a unique weight distribution with 75% of the weight being in the stainless “horseshoe” and 25% being in the face and body. This combination of balance allows the Futura to perform like no other putter we have ever tested. The ball rolls immediately off the face of the putter without ever digging into the green. The sole was designed so the putter never closes when setting up to the ball and the top-line is shaped for a contoured look. In late 2003, two sightlines were added to the top flange of the body for better visuals and ease of alignment. Finally, two plugs have been milled into the back of the face and stainless weights have been applied to create even more stability and give the putter that solid sound and feel. The Futura had its first win on the PGA Tour in 2003 and with the new look get used to seeing more of it in the Winner’s Circle!

It's only a twin thing. I have the lined version.

As much as I tinker with buying new putters seemingly every week, my Futura (w/ sightlines) is still one of my favorites. I bought a weight for the bottom of it off ebay that was very well done and adds the extra weight I was looking for. And its probably just me, but I *love* the sound of a well struck putt with the Futura.

Pardon the threadjack, but us Futura owners are certainly a minority. I purchased a Futura Phantom after demoing many, many putters and really liked the roll it put on the ball. However, it was a bit light for me as my gamer was a Gauge Design "Tera" putter, so I purchased an aftermarket weight just like the poster above did and it makes a tremendous difference...makes a very good putter great!! By buddies give me a ribbing when the saw the putter, but clammed up after I started draining putts from all over.

Yeah theres no difference and I really do think the Futura is an underrated putter, a lot of people won't give it a chance because it looks like a potato masher.
