North Atlanta / NE Georgia Course Recommendations...

Getting a group of guys together to play north of Atlanta or NE Georgia in mid-August. Has anyone played Crystal Falls, Apple Mountain, or Achasta lately? Curious to hear the course conditions.

We're also thinking of driving up and playing Currahee Club but have heard mixed reviews of whether or not they are allowing outside play.

We're going to be playing The Manor and Hawks Ridge on 2 of the days but need 2 more courses and a few of us want to get up near/in the mountains on those days.

Appreciate any feedback.

Not sure if it's in the right at but Old Union is a great course. Conditions might be questionable but worth playing if in the area.

NE Georgia is in the other direction. You're referring to NW Georgia. I-75 that far up is a long way from I-85 (like the Curahee area).

Hey AU Tiger, let me know if you have room to take a straggler! I like your course selection and I'm curious to see what feedback you will get.

Check out Trophy Club Apalachee. They're re-doing the greens right now but might be done by the time you play. Green fee is like 17$ weekend with temp greens.

I usually play Bradshaw Farm and Trophy Club of Atlanta and they are both nice courses.

The Orchard - usually a nice track , Double Oaks in Commerce - great shape a couple of weeks ago, Achasta - we've had some rain lately, doesn't drain so well on a few holes, but usually in great shape and Reunion - always a great place.

Just got up to play Crystal Falls and it is in very good to excellent condition. The greens are in excellent shape. The areas where there was winter kill, the sod was replaced and it is coming in nicely. The fairways are in excellent shape. Plus they are working on the traps. They have some of the areas around the traps marked as ground under repair until the work is done. Once they are done, the traps will look much nicer.
