How much would you pay?

Titleist 681 T 2-PW Brand new

I had a chance to buy a BRAND NEW set of Titleist 681 T irons 2-PW still in plastic wrapping last week at a local golf shop for $1,200. I was pretty sure they were worth a lot more than that but I hesitated. By the time I decided to buy them they were gone...now I am absolutely kicking myself. I'm sure I could have got $2500 or more for them on eBay.

I already know I'm crazy for not buying them on the spot...but I'm curious how much would you be willing to pay for these clubs. Keep in mind Titleist only produced 2500 sets of the T-Stamped 681 which play to the exact same specs as Tiger Woods irons when he was playing Titleist blades

I agree....There are 2500 sets out there. You are bound to find a set on fleabay or something like that for the same price or less that you were willing to pay. Put it into persepctive. Scotty releases 500 first runs and those vary in price. Some high and some low, but just remember that there are only 5 hundy of those, and Scotty putters are super/ultra popular and hold value. Irons and Drivers don't typically hold their value. Tiger's Titleist irons are not much different. If threre was a market for those to drive the price through the roof I would be kicking myself...but unlike his putters which are super rare, the iron set is actually not to hard to find and I am sure if you were patient you could find a nice set of those for 1K. Just my 2 cents
