Hi folks. Looking to pick some minds here. Have an opportunity to swap out irons and I am giving it some thought. I have a set of vega vc-01's now but am playing with the idea of picking up a set of vm-01's or vm-02's. My choice. Now I know the soles will be different on the two. But can some people here please chime in on your thoughts between the two and what would be your choice and why. I love my vc's but also love my blades so I'm looking at carrying two sets and swapping out depending on conditions or comboing or whatever but that is besides the point, sorry. So anyways your thoughts as always would be appreciated. I thank y'all in advance.

I have both
Vm01 with shimada tour
Great club with great grind for a digger in my opinion
Beautiful looking clubs with built in forgiveness
Vm02 raw heads with steelfiber a recent build
Bit more forgiveness but does seem to dig into ground a bit more
I've noticed my divots are deeper and a little higher flight
Maybe that's a bit of operater error on my behalf
Either way you can't go wrong
If I had a dream set it would be vm01 with steelfiber 110s
Wish you good luck in your new purchase
Try making 2and 3s a member here based in Texas
That's where I got my vm02 heads from
A great seller

Exactly the stuff I'm looking for, Thanx so much for the input. I am a little surprised only because the limited info on these clubs I am able to find seem to prefer the 02's over the 01's. What do you think of the tri-grind if you don't mind me asking. Does it serve a purpose?

At the moment jury is out on tru grind
Works great in long irons for me but digs a bit in pw
Vm02 great looking heads
I used vm01 for 18months with shimada tour shaft
This set up is superb
They have pre worn leading edge grind which is good for me
Vm02 don't have this
So for digger vm01
Picker vm02
Highly recommend shimada shafts best steel shaft I ever used

That tri-grind helps with guys that add a little relief on the sole and toe, works a little better for pickers. The VM-02's are a little deeper in the neck than that of the VM-01's, Their center of gravity is a touch higher too than the VM-01 for a little more penetrating flight. It's more of a preference in the looks vs performance of the two tho, they both perform very similarly. If you like the more traditional look, go with the 01's. If you like an agressive look, go with the 02's.

Do you guys know of any shop that even has sets on hand? I called around to a few shops and a few of them laughed at me. Literally. Bigger shops of course. What little info there is available, it's threads like this that are nice to stumble on. So for those who have replied, & the OP; Thanks. Any difference between the VC-02's and VC-03's?

I have a set of raw VM-02s that are waiting to be shafted up. Plan to do a review vs. my current RAF-CMs. Gave up my Titleist 660s for these and think it was one of the best decisions I've made.

I can speak from experience yet, but I am currently refinishing a set of vega raf cm clubs I got on eBay CHEAP ($255 because they were older and had some wear) now and I can't wait to get them finished up. I hit a few balls with them before I broke them down and they seem legit. I am 100% new to club making and iron refinishing so I am taking my time though and make sure I do it right. I had the chrome stripped, then took out like 95% of the dings and scratches and left a few I wasn't comfortable going after. Just last night I put them through a gunmetal black oxide finish and I should be able to put them together this weekend. The finish is not perfect, but it passes the eyeball test and is unique and gets cool points. Plus these should feel great raw. I have taken pics throughout the process, but I am new to the forums, I will post them when I get a chance.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
