Tour Spec Mizuno MBs?

Hi, picked these up the other day on eBay, to beautiful not to purchase - anyone know exactly what model irons these are, MB resembles MP33 - but is slightly different. They have MAH-SRI stamped on the back, apparently a player on the Asian tour. Seller sold them as TN87s but the MB is different so not convinced. Any pointers appreciated.

Nice looking. They are not TN 87's (I have two sets). The 87's have an angled off part of the muscle back towards the toe. Know what I am referring to?

Great looking...they are closest to the 33's, in my opinion.

Yh that's more or less the summary what I came up with - they have the finish similar to the TN91's but again, a different muscle back shape closer to the mp33 - but not exactly the same (I.e . Colour is kind of greenish bronze which I read somewhere is caused by the copper underlay in the irons). Just find to hard to believe these irons were a totally custom set!

Wow, those are nice. To me they sort of look like a blend of the MP14 and the MP69. BTW, in your first photo, the 4th iron from the left looks different. The muscle looks like it goes straight across and isn't curved like the other irons.

Yh good spot - unfortunately the set came missing a 4 iron so have filled the gap with a TP-11 until I can find something that closer resembles the set... Like the TN91 4 iron that's for sale atm on eBay in Hawaii...

Small world- I actually had these at one time, very very briefly - bought them on ebay off a bloke who had done a house clearance for an ex European tour exec who had picked up a few sets of mizunos all made for sultan of brunei's son, he mentioned that all the sets he acquired bizarrely had a missing iron.

Gorgeous irons but preferred my mp29, 33 and tn87s so let them go.

I've seen a few different sets on ebay with same initials all totally unique and all unlike any other mizzies - guess if you have the cash anythings possible

This exact set? Ah man... thats like getting introduced to one of your girlfriends ex's when your out in a restaurant etc..

If what youre saying is true then I guess the chances of getting my hands on the missing 4-iron have diminished by a percent or two..

7 or 8 years ago I was in Tokyo and went to the flagship Mizuno store...5 or 6 levels, one or two were all golf.

They had the MP 33 available with custom ordering...it may not have said MP 33 but it was that same blade. They came with your choice of graphics. That particular M on yours looks like the one they used 7-10 years ago.

I'd guess that's what it was. Good luck, nice blades. Get Joe Kwok to blueprint them, they will be as good as the new MP 15's!
