How to Get COA For Scotty Cameron Circle T Putters

Hi guys,

 

A friend has requested that I help him sell a bundle of Scotty Cameron circle t putters. They all have tour headcovers and there is a huge variety of headshapes.

 

I've started looking on ebay to do a bit of research on prices etc. The main thing that stands out is that nearly all the tour/ circle t putters have a certificate of authenticity. We currently don't have any of these. Can anyone offer any advice on how to go about getting them? Also any advice on the best place to find out how these putters should be priced would be great!

They need to be sent to Scotty's Custom shop. It's $75 per COA. Unless your having a restoration done then it's a little less.

Ebay is a good place to get an idea on pricing. There are some very knowledgeable members here who may be willing to help with pricing via pm. The Cameron Collector site is another place to check out, but be sure to read the rules there first. I'm pretty sure that you're not allowed to talk about pricing in the forums.

Thanks for the help! I'm not sure exactly how many putters we will be selling... I'm guessing the potential listing price for the putters will be effected massively by whether they have a COA or not? It's sounding like an expensive but worthy investment so far. Has anyone on here sent a large amount of putters to be authenticated before?

Something else to add... I am based near London in the UK. I'm guessing it's going to be very expensive to get multiple putters authenticated!

Well, not having a COA normally will knock off a little bit of the price. But nothing dramatic like half off.

Take good pictures (no blurry stuff), take pictures of grip, headcover and shaft band (if applicable).

Most of buyers of CT know fairly well about the sticks and can tell if it's real or fake from the pictures.

I agree with Medson. I honestly wouldn't waste time and money getting COA's unless it was owned by a tour player with toe initials or it is very similar to an OTR and is questionable. It takes a lot of extra $ and time and really doesn't take off or make that much extra as most are very obvious that they are authentic circle T's. I wouldn't bother. People who are looking for legitimate Circle T's will know whether its legit anyway, so while it's better to have it, it's not a deal breaker to not have it.

I didn't get sick when I looked at that option for my Select Newport. I just giggled at the thought of somebody doing that.

I'm not confused about the thought of people paying top dollar for merchandise... But 75.00 for a piece of paper...

Depends on the stick, but COA may get you nothing but a delay in the sale.

Cameron Collector pricing will give you some ideas as well.
