Thinking about doing a road trip. Help me pick some courses.

So, I'm thinking about driving from Vegas to Denver in a few weeks. Since this will be part of my upcoming vacation time, I thought it was a good excuse to play some golf too. I figured I could play one course on the way there, and one on the way back, but I have no idea where to start. While I'm in the Denver area I want to play Bear Dance, and maybe one other, but there's a TON of options between here and there, so I need some suggestions. I'll probably try and go towards Durango, and then up through Telluride via 550 on the way there (I'm a sucker for a scary mountain pass), and then take I-70 back home. Also, while I'm willing to splurge a little, I'd prefer slightly more affordable options if possible.

I love the redlands mesa in grand junction. Always in good condition and never really crowded. The views on back 9 are really pretty of the monument. I would play there over red sky and Lakota canyon when taking I 70 route. All 3 are nice though. When coming up million dollar highway, fairway pines in ridgeway is a good scenic course under new management so conditions are getting much better but course is alittle goofy. I have never played golf in denver.
