NEED ADVICE SETTING UP GOLF LEAGUE WITH HANDICAPS

Hey guys.... really need some help here by those that feel they have a VERY good grasp of the handicap system.

 

Here is my dilemma:

 

I started a league with 9 of my friends... here is how the league is set up:

 

9 guys all with handicaps. Each month, each guy submits there best score using handicap as the score that goes towards the year long total.... think fed-ex cup but instead of a point system it's a net score to par system. This is where I am having some trouble due to the complexity of how the handicap system works. I have done a decent about of research about the ins and outs of the handicap system but the part that I can't fully grasp is how to calculate for all 9 guys playing at different courses each month.

 

To explain in a bit more detail....

 

The season is going to last 6 months. The low cumulative total for the submitted rounds each of the 6 month wins. For example, Joe's NET scores (at different courses in my area) are: April 69 or -1 at a par 70 course, May 74 or +2 at a par 72 course, June 69 or -3 at a par 72 course, July 71 or Even at a par 71 course, Aug 69 or -3 at a par 72 course, and Sept 70 or -1 at a par 71 course for a season winning low total of -6. What I am concerned about is how to accurately account for the fact that guys are playing at different courses with different ratings and different course total pars (70, 71, 72). I know how to calculate NET score using the course handicap but do I take the NET score (using the course handicap) and subtract the course rating or do I subtract it from the course par (70 or 71 or 72) or something other than that? This is where I am getting confused. I would like to keep our league's season cumulative totals in the +/- to par format because it is more like looking at a PGA leaderboard and I also think it's easier to understand how many strokes you need to make up on the leader.

 

Bottom line, I just want to make sure I am accurately accounting for and calculating the fact that guys in my league are playing at many different courses. I think an example might be the Pebble Beach Pro/AM tournament where guys are playing at multiple courses (Pebble, Spyglass and Monterey) and the amateurs are playing with handicaps.
