TaylorMade MyTP damaged

I took my putter into club champion to get the loft and lie checked out. They put it in the vice and it wasn’t secured. Does anyone have any recommendations to repair this?

Is the damage that tiny little spec by the sightline?

 

If Club Champion damaged it like you say, why did you leave there without bringing it up to them?

That is it. I did bring it up immediately and the individual who did it said that there’s always a chance of marks when bending clubs. Little to no accountability.

I’ll email the fitter who damaged it and we’ll see where it goes from there. It’s a shame because I’ve had good experiences there previously but I agree it’s inexcusable especially when they checked the loft and lie. They didn’t even adjust anything.

Did they just 'check out' the loft and lie or also make adjustments? If just measuring loft and lie CC should have measuring gauges that don't require the head to be clamped in a fixture.

They just checked out the loft and lie. They did not do any adjustments.

This putter was purchased directly through Taylormade. I have a staff deal with them. I've purchased other stuff through CC before.

The fitter should have put painters tape on the head. Mine does that all the time but then again, I do have a HIVE Bettinardi one off putter. Perhaps he thought it wouldn’t make a mark.

Especially on a black putter. Just no care whatsoever. Weird wild stuff

Fitter didn’t care when you mentioned it right after it happened.  I doubt he’ll care now that you’ve emailed him.  That sucks.

Yeah. That really sucks and I hope they take care of you.

Agreed. The other issue is I have no idea how they’re going to make it right other than ordering the same exact putter since it’s not really retail.

Only option may be is to send it off for a professional refinish. You’ll be without it for awhile if you go that route.

I would call and talk to a manager over the phone. A regular employee can't make those kind of calls for repair/replacement and probably why he blew it off pretty much instead of telling his boss he scratched your putter.

It will kinda looks blue purple-ish on the black.
