Slighter Putter, New Website, and more?

In the two and a half years that we have been running the website we have had the chance to meet and speak with a lot of cool people in the golf business. By far one of the nicest we have met is Tom Slighter of Slighter Golf. For those of you not familiar with the company, Slighter Golf designs and builds custom putters. The different models can be customized with just about any option imaginable.

It didn’t take too long after speaking with Tom that I knew I had to have one of his putters. After months of torturing myself on what model I wanted and how I wanted it to look I finally decided on a modified Kirkland putter. The new love of my life (apologies to my wife) showed up at the front door two weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier with. It is exactly as I imagined it and built right to my specs. Granted the putter was not cheap, totalling slightly more than a new Scotty Cameron putter, but it is well worth it. The feel is great and the putter looks beautiful. For anyone looking for a high-end milled putter I would definitely recommend checking out the website www.slightergolf.com.

Now back to business. We’ve been promising a brand new SirShanksAlot website for sometime now and we are finally ready to launch it. We hope to have the new site up and running this Sunday so if you have troubles accessing the website this weekend please be patient; it will be back in all new form. And now for the disclaimer part; Since neither SirShanks or I are exactly computer guys there are a few glitches in the new site. The site is best viewed with FireFox or Explorer 7.0 however, if you are using an older version of Explorer the dimensions are somewhat screwed. The site will still work but you will have to scroll down a little bit to access the content. We hope this is just a temporary matter but we wanted to get the new site up and running as soon as we could so we hope you can live with it for now.

And one final housekeeping matter. A big congratulations to the boys in Liverpool for their huge Champions League victory over Chelsea. Onto the finals for the second time in 3 years, go Reds!
