Forest Dunes Doak

Surprised not to see much talk about this. Morning drive had a segment on yesterday talking with Doak. The course looked great and the concept sounds really interesting. Looks like my plan will be 2017 trip to Michigan. Did anyone else see the segment on Morning Drive?

I played FD in September. I will honestly say, that for as good as FD is, "The Loop" didn't look that great? I know that it's still early and I could only see a few holes but I do think the idea is cool. It does look a lot different from FD itself? I'm anxious to give it a try for sure though!!!

Looks really cool. I am not going to lie, I am a big Doak fan. Pacific Dunes is my favorite course.

What did you see that did't look so hot?[/quote] Looked pretty open and plain? It just looked like a cheaper muni? But when it opens, I expect to hopefully be totally wrong as I like the concept. Forest Dunes bunkers look like they are edged with scissors and the few bunkers we seen on the loop had the shaggy longer ruff edges which tells me they are trying to present something different. I think that is a good thing.. If I get to play it next year I will come back on here and give a honest review and like I said, I just probably caught glimpses of it not in a stage to be even considered playable yet?
