Putting App?

Hey guys,

 

really want to improve my putting game this summer (southern hemisphere). Any of you guys know any cool/useful putting technology that I could use to develop my stroke?

Could be something physical or digital (app).

 

Maybe this is the wrong topic to be posting under, but just looking for some advice

Rather than start a new thread, can I ask here (as we are talking Putting Apps) what has happened to the iPing App (?) - On ping.com it comes up with a search but none of the links work? - There is no sign of it in the Apple Store either? - Has Ping dropped the app? - I have emailed them (twice) but no reply yet & nothing of use from a search on google ... Hi there - You are right, there is a Ping app there but not the iPing App which was purely the putting app? - Maybe the Ping app incorporates the putting app? - Can anyone answer that please?

There is an image that says "Start Putting". To me that implies that it has the old putting app.

 

The description says the following; "Putting Improvement with iPING

Measure your consistency to determine your Putting Handicap (PHcp). Practice key elements of your putting stroke, including impact angle and tempo, with the goal of improving your consistency. A more consistent putting stroke will help you hole more putts on the greens.

* iPING Cradle required for Putting Improvement. Find one online at ping-shop.com.

You need to estimate your putt length, then manually input it into the app

I heard back from Ping & iPing is no longer available BUT the Ping App does now incorporate the iPing Putting - The app needs iOS 9 which apparently means you need an iPhone 4s or newer to run this ... Paul

Oh I see, so all its really doing is recording your putt statistics? I suppose its a bit much to expect it to be accurate over such short distances.

 

Can anyone recommend any putting drills? Maybe the wrong thread
