I know not everyone likes football, but the most amazing season ever Leicester City won the English Premier League. Just 12 months ago they were nearly relegated and started this season at a 5000/1 outsiders. Through hard work, determination and team spirit they lifted the premier league trophy today. amazing

I dunno. I still think Forest's League win and subsequent back to back European Cups is still the standard for underdog greatness in English football.

Yep, Forest is still the standard. The times might've been different but as great as the Foxes' season was, it was their second season in the top flight and winning the Champions League is still quite far away.

 

Nevertheless I'm happy they won. :)

My two daughters had the good luck to be going to university in Leicester this year so they were able to be part of the big celebration.

I went to to University of Leicester and it was great.

 

Used to spend my days getting drunk and trying to break the patternoster in The Attenborough Tower

i*windows is right. Leicester's victory is less an underdog story and more a comment on the nature of major level football. The Premier League is bad in terms of its imbalance of power and equity, but it isn't the worst. Sport should provide a level playing field, but the majority of top level leagues around the globe are skewed to favor certain clubs and certain markets. Anyone who thinks big time football is about competition is merely fooling themselves.

 

Hooray for LCFC. Too bad it wasn't Watford.
