There may not be a written test, but anyone trying to figure out who has retained their full playing priviledges has to have a set of tarot cards and an weejee board. Simplistic is top 90 on money list, then there are those who won a tournament last year (1-year exemption), those who won a major (5 yrs), on some higher place on the all-time money list, and then those who have been give dispensation due to injury. After trying to figure it out once, I figured it was if you had purchased an indulgence from the former CEO you got a get-out-of-jail-free card for at least another year. Don't believe me, go the lpga.com website and check out all the little squibbles and markings for yourself.

Also remember the Wie exemption. Anytime she thinks about playing any event (including majors) she is given a lifetime exemption, regardless of age or playing ability.

Speaking of life-time exemptions, I forgot to mention that any member of the LPGA Hall of Fame (that's LPGA vs. World Golf) is allowed to play in any LPGA-sponsored event anywhere.

 

Wie, or any other non-member, being granted the max number of sponsor exemptions is a whole other ball of wax.
